Posted before I finished sorry, I'm after recommendations for a great hotel in Tenerife for 2 elderly people, myself included

Depends if you want North or South?

South have hundreds of bog standard hotels in Playa be las Americas and los Gigantous and places like that.

I much prefer Porto de la Cruz in the north as it is quieter. A lot of German restaurants but still very nice.

What sort of place are you looking for?

We dont want a big travel from the airport so south Tenerife looks best, on the beach if possible and min 3*

guayarmina princess costa adeje right on front lovely hotel food nice everything close by if you dont want to walk try thomsons ive had two good deals with them

We often go to Medan on the last day of our holiday on the way to the airport. Not much of a travel to the airport for you.

If you can get on a couple of 'blanket tours'. We went on loads before the kids came along and it gives a snapshot of places to go. They used to be free when we first went but now you have to pay but they are reasonable cheap for what you can pay.... and no you don't have to buy anything from the infomercial.
