The best way to transfer money abroad can depend upon how large a sum is involved. For a fairly small sum (say £100, or even £1000) PayPal is almost certainly the best way of doing it. I would go for PayPal as well , use the 'send money to family & friends' option then there are no Paypal charges , completely free instant transfer.
