Can I freeze home-made meringes?

had three spare egg whites so made meringes. Have too many! Can I freeze them>

3 ingredients Meringues, pint whipping cream, jar dulce de leche
line a 8"shallow cake tin with cling film and cover the bottom with crushed meringue.
Whip the cream spoon half over the meringue and freeze for 30 mins.( put rest of cream in fridge)
Cover the frozen meringue/cream mix with dulce de leche, sppon over the rest of the cream then cover with more crushed meringue, presing down firmly.
Freeze the whole lot, take out of freezer and put into fridge a couple of hours before you wish to serve,

Yes Waitrose do sell it - it's the toffee stuff you get in a banoffee pie. My local branch sell it with the cooking ingredients, some stores have it with the jam/honey.
An alternative is to boils a can of condensed milk for 3 hours - keep it covered at all times otherwise sticky ceilings! I used to do this and would say it's slightly superior but now use the dulce de leche as it is so much easier.
