A lot of gyms offer pay per session offers so that you can try it out before commiting to membership and to find out if it's what you expected. Where I live , the local health centres tend to be quite pricey as they specialise in package deals ie gym , sauna , spa . sunbeds , massage etc. However , the local council run leisure facilities also have gyms which are well equipped and you do not have to commit to monthly memberships if you do not wish to do so. In East Kilbride , I have taken out monthly membership at my local leisure centre which works in partnership with all of the leisure facilities in both South Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire which means I get free use of any leisure centre classes , swimming , gym , kids fitness clubs (karate , dance classes) for the whole family and we don't need to pay per various leisure centre. How good is that ? Why not check with your local leisure centre to see if they run any special deals ?
