Moist Toilet Paper

Much has been said recently, about the use of baby wipes, etc. But I buy those packs of moist toilet paper. from Lidl. Can anyone tell me if they are as bad as baby wipes ?

Ratty....that is what I thought.

But these things DO say flushable, so I think there is widespread confusion here.

Perhaps we need better guidance.

Cloverjo- I thought the general consensus was that you should NEVER flush any part of a Tampon down the toilet?

Thought the best idea was to wrap the darned things and applicators etc in newspaper and bin them.
Not that that was environmentally favourable either.

Yes, B00, but what are you supposed to do when you're somewhere that doesn't have a thing to dispose of them in? At home I put everything in the bin. In hotels, I use those little plastic bags - more plastic! If you're in someone's house, do you put it all in the bin if there's one there?

I'm sure that years ago, we were told that it was all flushable when it was paper and cardboard. Now the manufacturers are using all plastic despite Attenborough's campaign.

I love some of the shoppers in Lidl, they'll put their shopping in M&S bags/other supermarket re-usables anything to show their neighbours when they take bags out of boot of car that they haven't shopped in Lidl.
Can't wait to hear them say hello to each other when they each meet in Lidl :-))))

I had to fork out £50 - yeah fifty knicker - to get the sewer flushed as next door was rather keen on them
having your drains back up with someone else's poo is an honour I wouls wish on no one

the idea of a bag matching my shoes ( usually odd anyway)
or my discoloured jeans

We stopped buying those moist wipes after we had a few scares of the loo not flushing properly and having to attack with a coat hanger. Apparently the don't break down like normal loo roll.

Saw some for sale with coconut oil, in Tesco, yesterday. Checked the pack a few times but couldn't spot where they stated what benefits putting coconut oil there would have. Perhaps it's to make next time easier.
