Labrador Doing It In The Lounge

My 12 year old Labrador has started to do his business in my lounge.

I let him out as soon as I get up, and he just sniffs around and then lies down. As soon as I let him back in, well, within a couple of minutes, down goes his tail and out it comes. He rarely "asks" to go out like he used to.

It is not diarrhoea and physically has to be pushed out!!!!

I feed him at 18.00 and he is on Chappie, which has improved his digestive system, no end.

Any suggestions?? :(

I'm sorry to hear of the diagnosis. ♥

Now that you know what is wrong it might be easier for you to cope with. Labs are lovely dogs ♥

It is, wolf. I keep thinking back to things he was doing and which made me cross with him. Like, I thought, totally ignoring me and sniffing at the same bit of grass for minutes at a time, then just walking ever so slowly along.

It all makes sense now. God love him.
well at least you know.....and can plan accordingly - and he obviously still knows you!

Question of feed him and lead him out for his private toiletry!

I should have him introduced to my mater!

xx

My heart goes out to you. I now cowardly will not have anymore pets as it hurts too much when their time comes.

The love and joy far outweighs the pain of losing though, DS

DTC you're a nut case. Lol.
Thank you for the update chrissa. Now you have a diagnosis things can be dealt with. I wish you and Toby all the best.

I had to FaceTime my daughter in tears, this morning.

I gave Toby his second lot of pills. At first he turned his head away and then suddenly looked up at me, and as I threw them up in the air, one by one, he caught them and swallowed them. I praised him and then.......... he actually wagged his tail and snuggled into my leg.

He hasn't done anything like this for ages and it was so sudden and so wonderful, I cried.

No poops in the lounge either.
oh, to hang with the poops :-) xx

Now you have a diagnosis and meds for Toby, which I hope will help.

Fingers crossed for more tail-wagging for the future.
(I love labs, wonderful breed)
Poor old Toby, I know you will look after the old gentleman well. A big cootch from me, another old gent.XX
