In February my sister and I booked with Newmarket to see Neil Diamond in Birmingham. We requested a twin room, this was confirmed on the confirmation and again when the remaining balance was paid. A couple of days ago I received by email the final travel arrangements/itinerary which named the hotel we are staying in. I looked online for the hotel and realised all rooms were double or superior double with a pullout sofa bed. I phoned the hotel and was informed there were no twin rooms "and the room will be made to look like a twin room". I then contacted Newmarket and the agent sounded surprised but said she would find out and get back to me. I phoned my sister as she wasn't very happy about the prospect of one of us having the sofa bed. I had to go out but my sister spoke to Newmarket who has said it is what it is and the attitude was like it or lump it! (after all, it's only for one night!) We are not very happy.
How would you feel? Are we over-reacting?

I think you are over-reacting but Newmarket are wrong to say, 'Like it or lump it'.
a sofa bed for one night , in order to attend the concert, seems no big deal..toss for it !
Id just make the most of it and not worry about it.
Over reacting, not on your life, you paid and got confirmation for a twin room. Why do we settle for such shoddy service. Ryanair again.
i'd just share the double if you're worried about a sofa bed. i think you're over-reacting
Today's customer service mantra, like it or lump it. My over reacting money goes elsewhere.
The Hotel will make up the sofa bed into a bed and put on the bedding rather than leaving it as a sofa for you to make up. I have stayed in such a room and the sofa bed was just as comfortable as a normal bed.
I agree you are overreacting.
Can somebody please explain to this idiot why expecting what you paid for is over-reacting.
they are getting what they pais for - a room with 2 beds = twin room
