Mountain Fire

We had a mountain fire behind our town all day, started by some
Russian idiot who got lost. Helicopters have been flying with their sacks of water since early this morning, scooping out water from large swimming pools and artificial lakes. What incredible pilots they are. Fires is out now thank goodness. A very noisy Sunday !

Glad you and yours are out of harms way, Sam ....alarming just how quickly a fire could spread especially with strong winds in place......been in many areas, especially in the U.S.A, where bushfires can take minutes to spread to built up areas.

Next Sunday, hopefully, will be chilled, quiet and much more relaxing for you :-)

Why would someone who is lost start a fire?

So someone would find him when they spotted the flames and smoke.

That’s what he did. He lot a fire, then phoned the services, so they could find him. Idiot.

Emergency services : So sir your lost, are there any landmarks close to you so we have an idea where to look. Russian : yes I'm right by the mountain fire.
