I'd say because, like me, they were pro-Palestinian and they were all delighted that some semblence of peace was coming to the region, and then some **** goes and kidnaps a soldier. It's a case of "What are ya at????"
You don't **** about with the Israelies like that. And frankly, every nation should be that annoyed when one of their citizens is taken prisoner.
It's the old story... What's the difference between a Palestinian suicide bomber and an Israeli attack helicopter? Answer...When the suicide bomber blows up himself and others, there's an international outcry of horror and disgust - but when the attack helicopter carries out an act of murder by government policy and kills a group of Palestinians, nobody says a damn thing.
I dont think its the Palestinians at fault. They have been pushed and pushed for so long. We just cant envisage what it is like to be living in a refugee camp for the whole of your life. The kind of people now running the likes of Hamas have lived just this existance. They know nothing else but can see people the other side of a solid concrete wall living normal lives on what was once the land of their forefathers. We are not allowed to condemn Isreal without being condemned ourselves. We really cant understand what is going on in their minds as we will never be as suppressed as they are.
We should just watch and observe and let our feelings be known to those willing to listen.
