Theresa May: I Don't Want A Cabinet Of 'yes' Men

Mrs May still refuses to slap her Foreign Secretary down....no wonder she is being thought of now as a weak, ineffectual Leader. The Tory Party has been here before...remember John Mmmmajor ?

Perhaps someone should tell may ,and the tories this is not about them it's about this country ,so if you want a wee difference do it ,but this country matter s to the Great British public .So as you have shown you are not fit to look after the interest of this country why do you not just step aside and let those who can do the job .

moving Boris to a junior post would be political suicide. Boris is seen to be the voice of the Brexiteers to remove him would make Remainer May look very much the remainer.
//he UK has a convention of cabinet collective responsibility which Johnson is blatantly breaking.//
Maybe, but has the UK ever gone through such a change as it is doing right now?

TTT...yes, and Major was the man that lost so badly against Labour in 1997, that it kept them out of power for 13 years and 2 more Election........The worst Leader of the Tory Party, since records began, although May is fast catching up.
Weecalf had it right at 09:45...May should realise that whatever she does, she does for Britain, not the Tory Party.
She and her Government are no nearer a solution to the problems of leaving the EU than we were the days after the Referendum. She send laughing Boy Davies off on his away-day to Brussels every month, and he continues to come back, empty-handed, with his tail between his legs.
In short, May should shape up or ship out....Britain needs better than her, much, much better.

Hammond is clearly failing as Chancellor, and I am not the first to hint he should be moved.

Hammond was at the Foreign Office before Osborne was sacked, and did an OK job. Better to send him where he is not out of his depth.

We are less near a solution than desired, as far as one can tell, because the other side of the table aren't agreeing with UK suggestions, and not providing reasonable alternatives. It almost seems like they want no progress, expecting the UK team to crack and offer money and ask for negotiation time extensions, or something. Surely no hope of that given our strong willed PM.

Where are you getting your information? The negotiations have been secret, behind closed doors.
// Surely no hope of that given our strong willed PM. //
Now you are just being silly.

From the media reports, like everyone else. Reports of suggestions put forward from one side, reports of little progress telling us it wasn't accepted or it would have been dropped; statements from the PM showing how tough she's bring, but nothing from the other side except complaints of it not being enough, and they must have more. Didn't you follow the news ?
