My only Grandson will be 19 the end of this month, he's one of these "I want I want" for the last few years I have given him Money for his Birthday / Christmas as I mentioned in a post the other day, not once has he phoned up to say thank you, my wife has said "Oh that's the way he is" Yet my 2 Granddaughters pick the phone only for a few mins & thanked me, would I be in order by just giving him a CARD ONLY? would I be wrong in doing this or would you just say, well that's the way he is? I'm not a tight old fart by any means but his attitude annoys me.

Please try not to feel guilty TWR, I'm sure you have been very generous and loving over the years, but there comes a time when YOU have to do what you must, however uncomfortable that make you feel.
At least you know you put a card through his letter-box which means you haven't completely forgotten him or washed your hands of him xx
