I've been pondering on moving to a residential Park Home. Do you know anyone who lives/lived in one and what they thought about it?

Yes...my mum lives in one in Wells-next-the-Sea. She loves it. It's really nice as well. Kitchen/diner, living room, two bedrooms, shower room and en-suite toilet to the main bedroom. Really nicely decorated as well. Wells is a lovely part of the country.

Eddie, my local authority allocates its sheltered housing by need - it doesn't matter if you are a council tenant, a home owner or living with family
Yep...My uncle got one because he was ill and had mobility issues.
Barsel is 71 so I'm sure she would qualify for sheltered housing on age alone. Plus she has another housing association property which they would relet . The housing association would just be exchanging one property for another.
Being pedantic, as Barsel's current home is a shared ownership property it won't be let. A buyer will have to be found and it will be sold. She will then get her 50% of the sold price.
