Mdf Primer

Is it necessary to use a specific primer for mdf or would ordinary undercoat suffice

Matt emulsion provides the best undercoat, anything else gets absorbed into the MDF and spoils it.

Ric ideally use an mdf primer but you can get away with a coat of normal wood undercoat / primer or even emulsion if you sand first - depends on location and what the eventual end useage will be

I usually use white emulsion as undercoat - I think that will do the trick
