It was an attempt to recreate the anarchy of TFI Friday, without the freedom of expression that Channel 4 allows.

This is another example of the BBC playing dog-in-the-manger - it sees Channel 4 scoring ratingss with its presenters, poaches them, and then doesn't know what to do with them when it's got them!
