Why do some people seem to cope with life's ups and downs better than others?
Ive known some people that have been through the most horrendous circumstances that life can throw at them and yet come out the other end smiling. And others (and yes, I'm probably including myself In this) struggle to cope with everyday life?
Whats the difference that makes a difference?
Thanks,

I know you do, Baldric......and for me that's in the same category as those who think getting up early is a virtue...... ;-)
Nailit, the night I needed help there was only one slightly derogatory post and I could see their angle too.

Yes Gness, Family are brilliant but often they are in a dark place too when you are - outside comfort can be such a solace.

In the main I try to deflect life's woes with humour - not always possible I know.
No, Baldric, you do snidey!

Nailit - I think some people have the ability to stop themselves thinking. If something annoys me (in real life) I might analyse and dissect it for a while before my 'feck it' attitude kicks in. Day to day annoyances rarely effect me for very long.

You need to learn how to switch off instead of blotting out.

To be fair ummmm' it depends on who I'm talking to and their perceived level of understanding tbh.
Did you read my 21.43 post, nailit? Just curious to know. :)

"you'll have to put up with pompous and snidey comments" OR accept that not everybody has the same point of view as yourself ...
Some of the posts I have read are very poignant. Glad tho that you have reached better times. xxxx
