I am looking at an electrical item which is being advertised as "refurbished" and very cheap.

Looking further down the page it then stipulates the item as being "new". Anybody help to explain this. Thanks

I would want clarification from the seller which was the correct description before buying.
It can't be both new and refurbished.
Possibly meant to put 'as new'
Jenny did it actually say 'as new' perhaps

thanks mamy and danny - danny think you are right but the ebay site is usually if not always correct.
Contact the seller, sounds dodgy to me. I've seen many eBay listings with mistakes and contradictions

have contacted seller - thanks all

An update - tried to buy the cheap item but the system wouldn't let me. Contacted Ebay itself and true enough the seller has been deleted. That's a first for me.
Maybe he's a user here and almost died with embarrassment.

Eh
Lucky escape then JJ.
Don't worry about it I've been on the rose.
Sounds like you have had a lucky escape :-)
if you are worried buy new

very cheap is a synonym for 'may well wont go'

( anyway I thought it was now unlawful to re-sell electrical items... )[ in a charity shop perhaps]{ or something]
