Brilliant racing at Ascot today which includes 4 Group 1 fields. I have done something that I rarely do and gone with O'Brien and Gary Moore in 3 of them. A.P. is looking to break the record, held by the American trainer Robert Frankel, ( the horse Frankel was named after him) for the most Group 1s in a season. He needs 1 to equal and 2 to beat the record. I have not had a look to see whether he won the Group 1 race in Australia earlier today. Anyway I digress, I have gone with him in the hope that he has his horses and team fired up for the challenge.
Caravaggio @4/1 2.00 Ascot
Hydrangea @6/1 2.40 Ascot
Churchill @7/2 3.15 Ascot
Withernsea @ 28/1 4.30 Ascot.
£1.00 E/W Acca. 4 X 30p Doubles. 6 X 20p Trebles. £1.00 E/W on Withernsea. £7.00 Total Stake.

I have included one from Ascot in my bet, last year's winner in the 2.00, but i much prefer trying to decipher the handicaps at Catterick:-)

Once again, good luck.

Well, the racing on offer at the other meetings leaves quite a lot to be desired so i've revisited Ascot (:-/) and placed smallish stakes trixie/treble on;
Journey @ 4/1, Ribchester @ 2/1 and Barney Roy @ 5/1 which, if successful, will give me a return just short of £400. Also done a placepot; 7.6.3.4.6.6. So it's eyes down and fingers crossed:-)
