Flu Jab.

I'm hearing several reports of adverse (some severe) reactions to the flu jab. (Two of my daughters work in health service). I was about to arrange mine. Has anyone else heard anything?

If a post of mine is in Till's link then I need say no more. I am still laid up, but prefer that to the killer flu that is predicted. Australia had a bad time of it some months ago and that strain is headed our way.

My GP wife often has a severe reaction, this year was bad, last year a lot less so. Her arm swells quite badly and aches for about a week. It amuses her colleagues.

What concerned me was an apparent cluster of reports, some of which required hspitalisation. I'll keep my eye on things, weigh things up and decide whether to have the jab myself.

my now 11 yr old son has been having flu jab every yr for quite a while now and only probs it caused was it sent his blood sugar readings a bit high for a couple of days (he's type 1 diabetic) but other than that all was fine. The flu nasal spray on the other hand hasn't suited him at all when he's had it so we went back to jabs.

No bad reaction for me and my family.

My arm was very sore for a few days, no reaction from my son at all. I do know people who aren't having the jab this year because they think the one last year made them ill.

Never had a problem with flu jabs.
