I used to work in a bakery. One afternoon I was out the back washing up the trays and I saw,out of the corner of my eye, my boss come out of the door at the side and go into the yard. I thought it was him because he had his bakers gear on,white pinny ,check trousers etc.
Anyway I cleared up and went in the yard to tell him I was going home but he wasn't there so I shouted up the stairs to him and asked him if he had been in the yard.He hadn't.He said I'd seen the ghost of the baker who had the business before they took it over. He hanged himself in the back of the shop because he was in a lot of debt.He used to appear quite often apparently.Very sad and spooky.

I didn't have a Scooby doo what perfume she wore, Jo.....all I remember is one minute there was no smell, and then there was a perfume odour as if someone was very near to me...I can't explain it and wish I could....as for the smoke, there was a smell of it and if you looked where the smell was coming from, you could sometimes make out a wift...very faintly.
As Naomi mentions there must be more to this phenomenon and I for one would like to find out, hopefully before I pop my clogs or I may have to come back and haunt one of you and give you the ghoulies, so to speak. :-) x
Minty, bet the vigils were something else and spooky indeed. I would have hid behind you, most likely....purely for being able to stand behind you, and get away with it. ☺ x
