Getting Paint Off Quarry Tiles!

The previous owners seem to have got as much paint as humanely possible on the kitchen and bathroom floors when decorating and then laid Lino over them! They are old quarry tiles so what’s the best way to try and clean them? Looks like the paint has been on them for years!

Ahh so it seems once I’ve cleaned them I should seal them. Useful Margo - than,you. I just don’t want to do any permanent damage to them. God knows why they covered them up with Lino!
