thanks mamy for that - don't think I'll be bothered with events blah blah - just wanted the points/money off.
However could you explain why an elderly lady last year in M&S - was paying for groceries and I "think" it is a long time ago - but I think she peeled off like money coupons like £10, £20, etc. Would you know what that was. Ta

They add points to your card each time you spend and donate something to a charity that you choose from a list. You cannot spend the points but the more you collect the more offers you get. I had 20% off everything last weekend and bought a winter jacket. You will get invited to events in stores and a preview to the sales on line, usually 50% off which is a bigger saving than they actually go in the sale for.
Markies do a credit card thing ,apart from Sparks, that can be used in other shops..you gain points and they issue money off coupons a few times a year.. if you clear every month or put credit on so you don't carry over a debit..the money off coupons are a good deal... especially when you are buying everything using it... mum used to get hundreds of pounds back in coupons , as well as free coffee/tea vouchers to use in their cafés
