Metacarpals or Carpals?
carpus
The wrist joint itself is the radiocarpal joint (between the carpus, made up of carpal bones as mentioned above, and the radius.) Metacarpals are a bit further along, between the carpal bones and the fingers.
...or if you want a more technical name, how about 'articulatio radiocarpea'
