Around where we live there are all these bugs out right now. We all call them June Bugs. They look almost like the Japanese Beatle but they are much larger. In the garden there is this bug. It is all over our potato plants. It looks like it is a mixture of a whole bunch of bugs. It has a stinger coming out of its mouth that it uses to kill and suck the juice out of the June Bugs and legs like a grasshopper. It is very strange and we were wondering if anyone could identify it. Thanks!
I saw your post when it first appeared and I've been scratching my head ever since, I'm still stumped but wonder if it could be a mole cricket.
By the way where on earth are you, roughly ? it may help with the ID. Good Luck T bird+
I am In the lower Western part of Pennsylvania where Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania almost touch. Yeah we live in a little town so I thought by giving that would be more helpful then by giving my city name. Hope this helps.
Thanks shortstuff03, the geographic location helps a lot.
The strange creature that predates the june beetle, aka humbug, is possibly an assassin bug, try a search on some images to see if you can match it with the ones you've seen. Good Luck T bird+
