Apparently Radio 3 must be now full of Reds. They have a 2 week celebration of the Russian Revolution taking place there with all things October Revolution in music, and commentary.
Considering that the same Revolution was the cause of much cruelty, World upheaval and hardship for many millions of people I'm wondering if it is prudent for Radio 3 to commemorate such a thing.

I loved Eisenstein's film "Battleship Potemkin" - really first class. The iconic scene of the shooting at the train station in Brian De Palma's "The Untouchables" replicated the scene in "Battleship". I suppose a point of the OP which I forgot, at the time, to include is that I thought two weeks was a long time for the commemoration. Best wishes.
I loved Battleship Potempkin' too (some of the scenes stay in my head 30 yrs later)and I enjoyed '10 Days that shook the world' last week. Very powerful. It's a big event to cover in a couple of days, I suppose. :)
