Need To Free Icloud Storage.. Which Photo Storage Should I Use

Further to my previous questions, I am having problems with Google Photos loading photos from my ipad mini... Can anyone recommend another free storage site for someone who is not technical, easy to load all my photos from my ipad mini? And when I load photos, can I then delete them from my ipad Photos.. Will this free up icloud space? Hope this makes sense, perhaps if you read my previous questions you will see what I am trying to do !!! Thanks, sorry I am a bit thick ...

I think if you delete from iCloud it also deletes from ipad and vice versa.

What about Flickr - you get (if I remember right) 1Tb storage - and you can make your photos private or public.

If public you can set them as non-downloadable by others (but there is a way that can be bypassed, so bear that in mind)

Yes - as the photos are then stored in Flickr.
