Escaped Lynx: Borth Zoo's Big Cat 'humanely Destroyed'
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -wales- north-e ast-wal es-4194 4467
Humanely destroyed ?......there is something I don't understand here. If this beautiful animal could have been humanly destroyed, why couldn't it have been shot with an knock out dart, rather than be killed ?

The zoo knew about it though and they tend to live on smaller beasties like rabbits, eating what they need and storing the rest for later. They can travel up to 20 miles in a day as the bird flies....so maybe they didn't have darts to hand and needed to nail it while they had it in sight. They wouldn't even go for llamas, as I warned our llama-owners nearby....
there is a wildlife park up here through the west and many of its animals go out for a wander at night and return in the morning... the lemurs and silver arctic foxes are the biggest culprits I was told..locals just ignore them as they know they go back to be fed in their non-escape proof enclosures !!

I think the Police and the Zoo people know more than we are being told.
