My dad is a Dubliner and he always used to say the typical Irish . Being over 80 now and in the UK since he was 19 we don't notice his accent but others still do. In fact it is a running joke that 88 is idiot when he says it.
Almost every country and sometimes many many districts within them have their own sayings and they are used both as a description, insult and endearment.
So I was going to say . Off and find something worthwhile to complain about but we are all entitled to feel aggrieved at stuff so, complain all you like.
The gesture will only have an effect if money or income for the city is affected. Do either of them have an impact on that?
