Jump on the band wagon or not? With this flurry of allegations of sexual assaults... I have seen and heard people now saying that they are just just jumping on the bandwagon. If these people were assaulted, I think they should come forward and report it, no matter how long ago it happened. I think they are mostly true claims! I think that when people start realising that they cannot get away with touching people inappropriately it will stop or at least be severely curbed. I think more people are now coming forward because they feel that they will now be believed and supported. and it wont be swept under the carpet. I think its a good thing! or course there will be the odd one that is hoping to get rich quick, they will always be there and always have been. I do however think that there needs to be more evidence of wrongdoing before people are named and shamed and their lives and careers ruined.

bhg - it all depends on the circumstances and who it is.

Sometimes by the time your brain has processed what has happened the moment to react has gone.
I used to think I was a knee in the groin and slap yer face woman.
As it turned out, I was just a jaw-dropping woman and didn't believe it happened.
Strange how one thinks of oneself until involved in a circumstance.
I've just responded and it's disappeared, so apologies if this is a repeat.

I think there are many situations in life where you can't accurately predict your reaction; you have to find yourself in the situation before you really know your reaction.
bhg, I agree with you.
(your second sentence lol, not the first) :-)
I was attacked after a night out (long story) and I fought like a wild woman.

I've been touched very inappropriately by a friend of the family and just removed myself from the situation without saying anything. I knew if I reacted he'd get much more than a slap.
It's a family member's birthday today and I was thinking back earlier to the day he was born. I was 17 and feeling happy about the new baby, I accepted a lift home from work from a man I knew, ended up having to fight my way out of his car after he lunged at me, I told my mum who said well you are a damn fool for getting in his car-some sympathy there! I remember I smacked him over the head with a bag of shopping.
