Just checking before I buy one, but I reckon it's ok to use a garden Christmas tree inside - am I right? (Have a cat now, so reckon one of those spiral light-up trees will stand more chance than a bauble laden real tree.)

Should be ok, sherr.
Dunno if it will be cat proof though ;-)

Thanks - had contemplated no tree but that didn't seem right, will go with mega tacky garden thing (the kids will like it).
I've always put up my tree with Indi when she was a kitten, I nailed it to wall with string round it (tree not cat!) and she only managed to pull it down once.

Now luckily she's too fat and lazy to attempt it.

We're in a different house now so I don't know where we'd put a real tree (himself will pull a face if we get an artificial tree - this way I get out of it and can use the cat as an excuse).
When I was a teenager, I remember our two cars felling the Christmas tree right in the middle of Christmas family dinner.
Cats, not cars
If you can invent a cat-proof Christmas tree, Kizzy, you'll make a fortune!
