Clinton was followed around by a special prosecutor for five years while in office. He was impeached and acquitted and re-elected. The public heard endless rumours and allegations and they didn't care.

Good luck to anyone trying to start that off again. The special prosecutor later said he wished he'd never asked for permission to get involved with the Lewinsky allegations.

I’m inclined to agree Naomi. Where children are involved then fair enough but in a lot of these cases you do wonder what the true agenda is sometimes

I cant believe the agenda is left/right political since it's on all sides. Most likely the idea of compo I would imagine, or in some cases simply raising the profile.

^ I liked Clinton as well, the Lewinsky affair did not affect his performance as President. It was just that such a fuss was kicked off over it. If he had admitted the affair and apologized he may well have got away with it.

i thought him rather charismatic, not sure about his policies but he's a Democrat and i generally prefer their way of looking at things.
