But seriously - the reason I raise this is that thugs from the Right tend to target women who 'get above themselves'. There's the whole "I'm going to rape and kill you" thing that they fall back on whenever a woman dares to cross their paths.

This may just be the bravado from cowards on the Internet, but the overall effect is to silence those who don't agree with the politics of the Right.
