You might be better off in the parenting section.

I'm not a parent, but for what it's worth I was a sensitive child, bursting into tears all the time - even at school which I never lived down.

Now - I'm no different to anyone else.
He knows how to ring the right bell he is making you feel guilty when all along its his fault. Just let him cry. It may sound hard but if he thinks he is getting away with being naughty by crying thats what he will continue to do.
there's a sweet book called "I'll always love you" by paeony lewis. It's about a little bear who is really upset that his mum won't love him anymore 'cus he breaks her favourite honey bowl.
It has the message that your mum will always love you, even if you do something wrong.
It's available used on www.amazon.co.uk for 1.
yvonne i totally agree with you.
My son does it too, It makes you feel so guilty if he's been good all day then he smacks his brother and i tell him off he'll burst into tears with his head down making me feel like a right nasty Dad. I learned to ignore it though and now he doesn't really bother because he knows he won't get a response from me :-)
Good luck ucmasblt
