I'm soon to be replacing my phone (a Nokia 6230), and am currently thinking of buying the W810i. From the reviews it seems to be among the best Sony Ericsson have produced so far. I've always been quite weary of them, because I find their interface to be annoyingly slow. But now pretty much all phones are this slow (the 6230 was a nice exception). I have tried it though and it's acceptably fast.

Also, the main breaking point of every SE I've read about and my mates have had experience with has been the joystick not working properly. The W810i doesn't have the same joystick control, so this problem may well be absent too.
I've just upgraded to the k800, (from the k750i), but my 'better half' has opted for the w810i instead, mainly due to the smaller size than the k800.
On first impressions the build quality seems good, and it's easy enough to use. It seems very much like my k750i, but without the camera shutter (an improvement, in my opinion, mine dented quite easily) and with a refined joystick - as I did have joystick problems with my k750i in the 12 months I had it. (Had it replaced once due to malfunction.)
It seems a reliable and adequate phone for most applications. All my phones (missus's is in my name) are on contract, as it seems to work out much cheaper than buying the handset on Pay & Go.
