Why would anyone want to make Dawn French gender neutral? A bit quieter would be sufficient surely.
Vietnamese is the way forward - no definite or indefinite article - hearing a Viet talking French with this lack of structure was brill. "Voici table et chaise." "Est-ce que vous avez fourchette>"
Russian is the same, no articles.
Were table et chaise belles ou beaux, I wonder, DTC?
Actually, thinking about it, Latin has no articles either, though Greek does.
Definitely.
The nearest Latin equivalent to 'οι πολλοι is res publica.
Cancel last answer. Plebs, I think. Back to MoD.
Revert to ΠΟΛΙΣ. But where is PP when you need him?
In Swabian German (Baden-Württemberg) they remove the der and die, by (childishly) making all nouns neutral (das) by adding the diminutive, "le" at the end, e.g. der Tisch (the table), can become a "das Tischle", (the little table) even if it's big! don't ask me why.
