My BT Yahoo login has forced me to log in to emails no less than 6 times today despite my checking the "keep me logged in" box. (I'm on Windows 7). It's fine on our other laptop (Windows 10). What is wrong and what can I do about it??????
So I'm surprised that Yahoo is still providing a 'keep me logged in' facility. (They must be one of the last to do so).
However, if such a facility is working for you on one computer but not on another, then it must be related to the settings in your web browser. So which browser are you using?
Diddly.....same here.....it says (in a red message) that they are doing away with the...keep me logged in....facility.....so you keep having to log in...log in...log in.....pain in the bottom!
If you want to automatically be logged in when you use an email account, you should access it 'the proper way' (i.e. the way that emails were originally meant to be sent and received before web access came along), with a dedicated email client instead of a web browser.
Buenchico - I'm using Chrome, as is our other laptop which stays logged in! I haven't changed any settings. When I log in via bt.com, there's still a box to tick "keep me signed in" but it is clearly ignoring my instruction which is infuriating!
Gness - go to the link in Buenchico's first post and use the "live chat" facility. After a few typed exchanges, the guy in India phoned me on my landline and told me what to do (this did NOT involve him taking over my computer!). I'm not sure what, if anything, he did at his end but my email now stays logged in - hooray! I don't want to post on this site what I now type in the address bar when I've actually shut my laptop down (for obvious reasons).
