Tuesday. It's still not finished, but progress is being made. It should be finished Thursday, I'm out all day tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath. I've got the man I want working here, he's very good and wants everything spot on. I'm happy with that! I'll have to leave him on his own for a while today, but I'm happy with that. I've promised him a home made Scotch egg when I get back!

Thanks for the Nigela link....I always dust the fruit in some of the flour, and it helps but only a bit !

I don't really mind the cherries sinking to the bottom, as the cake still tastes wonderful (!) but it wouldn't win any prizes at the WI !

I miss the WI stall in Norwich..always bought anything Mrs Brown made..took home, threw a bit of flour around and pretended I had been baking !! lol... got to meet her too....she had a right laugh...

Minty, we had a really good evening I was sat with two of my favourite people, my two eldest grandaughters. The youngest two insisted on sharing Nanny. I did not have to drive so I could have a drink.
