I can't see much cause for celebration.
What it means is part of the campaign of genocide completed, but the rest carries on. Indiscriminate bombing of parts of Damascus continues. Putin promotes the lie that Russia in Syria was about defeating terrrorism, whereas it was mainly about propping up Assad - and testing their new weaponry.

Putin gets his support in the west from active apologists on the right - and those on the left who support him by default by declining to criticise him because they don’t like to be seen to be supporting anything to do with the west.

The pullout is because they have won.

If it wasn’t for Putin, Syria would be run by Islamic State, and have a caliphate across a large swathe of the middle east. IS have been defeated in Syria (and are on their last legs in Iraq) thanks to Russian help.

No one would deny that Putin "won" in Syria, but it if fanciful to suggest that IS is on its last legs in Syria because of Russia. Russia certainly helped, but not to a significant degree. It is to his advantage that there happens to be an even greater evil in Syria than Assad, although actually to many Syrians Assad is actually the greater evil. His great advantage is that he only murders his own people and doesn't threaten the west. In that, he is half like his protector :-)
