Very bizarre. The patient wouldn't have been harmed, but you have to wonder at the ego of the surgeon having done such a thing.

Bramhall resigned after a disciplinary hearing with University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation Trust in May 2014.

Speaking to the BBC after his suspension he admitted he had made "a mistake".

I thought the two patients hadnt complained
have they changed their minds / had their minds changed ?

or did the prosecution rely on the idea that there are some crimes you cant consent to ?
I've never even heard of assualt by beating, PP (I don't get out much) but it does sound like the sort of thing you can't consent to.

Seriosuly though, that was disgusting behaviour.
What I noticed was the link said ''it was done in the sight of colleagues'', who did nothing about it.
So either it is more common than is thought or they were scared of breaching medical confidence.
Not scared of breaching confidence, Eddie, scared of the god who walks among us and wields the power of job or no job as well as a dodgy laser.
I wonder if he ever used the phrase 'do you know who I am?'.
