The BBCs endless determination to tick boxes is now making SPOTY a total yawn-fest. Please can we have a separate show for minority people and minority sports, and let this once great programme go back to focusing solely on proper stars and proper sports. I will now wait for the barrage of PC abuse, but I will never ever be interested in wheelchair basketball and tennis or women’s rugby, cricket or football, to name but a few so-callled sports the Beeb are now giving way too much coverage to

oh dear, when they initiate their Sports of Black Origin awards, I can just see ABers queuing up to denounce them.

Perhaps what is needed is a Sports of Interest to Vernonk Award. Have you considered pitching the proposal to one of the hundreds of TV channels struggling to find content?

I entirely agree with you vernock. The way they are pushing women's football, cricket and rugby in particular is ridiculous. Nobody watches them! I don't mind anyone taking part in any sport but please dont try and ram them down my throat and insist that I must enjoy watching them or else. I too will now wait for the PC abuse.

they are only just beginning to show women's sports like rugby, surprising to some its very popular, as is womens's football, sorry guys but you have had it all your own way for years and years, now you have to give the ladies a turn, that's only fair..
