Just had a call from BT offering to buy me out of my virgin contract, who admitely I want to leave when contracts up, BT is cheaper than I am paying at the moment to Virgin, apparently BT send me the equipment and I have to set it up 'gulp' and pay £9.99 for the privilege, has anyone done this.

BT do have an offer to buy out existing contracts. However I think that it is done on the basis that you have to pay the, in your case Virgin, final bill that you will receive and send BT a copy. BT then deduct that amount from your payment schedule. I am with BT infinity and it is brilliant. I have set up 2 BT hubs in the last 12 months and it is pretty easy with the WPS automatic facility. I have a laptop, desktop, printer, sky box, 2 mobile phones and a music centre all connected to the hub. No problem. Everything we do with BT is online and we have no problems with the "service". We have colleagues and friends and neighbours who are variously with Talk Talk, Virgin, EE, Sky, and other providers and they seem to have nothing but bother.
