government officials of a world power approach a liberal, Jewish, maverick film maker, who had left the US for Britain and never returned, to fake moon landings that happened two years before 2001 was filmed.

Thats is just daft on so many different levels!

Do you know Kubrick was planning a film based on ridiculous conspiracy theories but he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald before he could do it?
And that he isnt in fact dead but is busy working for the US government faking the Iraq War?
