Technically I suppose this ought to go in Technology, but a) I thought I might get more answers in here and b) I thought it might be of wider appeal.

Can anyone recommend a site where I can easily add holly/ivy/christmas garlands to bog standard pics, please?

Want to print out some Christmas cards with ASBO and tinsel/garlands on. Getting ASBO to pose with tinsel and/or anything is the devils own job so its just easier to superimpose them.

PS for easier, read "less painful".

use category 'Christmas music'
https://ipiccy.com/

they have seasonal bits and pieces and it's an easy and fun site to mooch around :)
Most picture editors allow you to place one picture over another. You may need to gain experience on getting them to recognise image outlines and make the backgrounds transparent though.
I'm guessing Barmaid hasn't got time to make herself a Photoshop Jedi Mistress.

Thank you all. I shall tinker!!!

Jno, you ain't kidding! I have a mountain of work to get through before Friday and my suggested break up time of tomorrow night is looking ever so unlikely. Although if I work most the night tonight it is hopeful.......
It looks like your question has largely been answered but, as I design my own Christmas cards, I'll offer you an alternative technique. That's to use a desktop publishing program. See my post here for a great freebie:

(Note that, after clicking the 'Download' button, you should select 'Softpedia Mirror')

I design my cards to print out onto A4 photo paper, so that they'll fold to A5 size (and thus fit nicely into C5 envelopes, available from pound shops, etc). Since you can't print onto the backs of most brands of photo paper, I print onto A5 labels (with two labels on an A4 sheet) and stick those inside the cards:

I get my graphics from Google Images.

Here's the outside of this year's card. (It obviously needs to be folded down the middle). It only took me a few minutes to knock it up:

(The inside simply reads " . . . our pet human, Chris")
