If you read what I wrote, I said a big tax cut, which is supposed to trinkle down through the economy, // Still did not save us from the crash //.

I did not blame blame the crash on tax cuts, that was because of other corporate/banking greed and lack of regulatory supervision, but if tax cuts were working and boosting the economy, then the crash would have been a lot softer than it actually was, because it was harsh and highly disruptive, and we are still suffering from it.

Apparently the tax cut will save Trump $15 million.

The lower tax rake leaves a $1 Trillion hole in the budget, which will have to be borrowed and added to the deficit.

I think we should at least cut Donald a bit of slack and allow him time to celebrate getting a piece of legislation through. albeit one which is more along traditional lines.

Thanks for the tip off there. I was unaware of the clause attached to the Senate Tax Legislation which has given drilling rights to big oil companies to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (AnWR).
