I have to agree that correctly performed, Halal slaughter is no worse than any other form of slaughter. Kosher Slaughter is far worse yet we never seem to see it condemned?
I still maintain that very few who has ever seen first hand what really goes on in a slaughter house , ANY slaughter house! will never eat meat again.

It is by me, Eddie. As I said earlier, I believe there should be one law in the UK and no exceptions or get-outs to accommodate religious foibles.

Disagree. We are what we are DESPITE all the languages and cultures that have come here. Many of those cultures are simply subsumed into UK culture (or trot along merrily beside it causing no particular problems). Some, however, do cause problems. This especially true of those which become widespread and whose adherents have absolutely interest in assimilation but simply want their beliefs and habits accommodated regardless of anything else.
