It will be delightful when I sort out how to finish it!
The grid is filled in (apart from the answers that require a blank cell or a cross)and I know the 'sketch' & characters. The only answers I've got are 10 down, but do I leave a blank or a X? and what do I remove ? the obvious might be something to do with Mr. W, and 26 across which I've no idea what to do with.so, as usual, I could do with a hint or two! Hope this all makes sense!
Thanks in advance.
Ripper, the Xs are only for those in attendance, the absentees get a blank space, you're removing them altogether. The other attendees/absences have the same clash thing going on as 10 Down. 26 Across features one of the characters present.
Mr W is made from the clashes at 10d and 19 across. The cell requires an X. The six clashes are almost symmetrically placed in the grind. The first cell to be left blank jumps out but the second one took longer - think tripping up!
I would go further than sunnydave and say it is one of the best of the year! I thoroughly enjoyed working through it while - appropriately - watching tv on New Year's Eve
