I have successfully used Rentokil Mouse killer pellets in my loft, but can still hear and see that mice (or possibly rats?) are coming into the slatted extractor fan outside on the kitchen wall (for my kitchen hood above the cooker) and going up somewhere into the house, they must be able to pull up the slats as there are small holes in the spiders webs inside the slatted fan, where they run through ... Hope this makes sense. We can hear the slats opening when we are quietly it the kitchen in the evening .... We have put lots of pellets down inside the spiders webs inside the extractor fan, in green milk bottle tops ... They sometimes eat all the pellets and sometimes the bottle tops go missing as well ... Why arent the pellets killing them off, should I use something stronger .... could it be rats? No evidence inside the house.. Hubbie doesnt think it is rats, the slatted extractor fan is high up on the outside wall ......Surely small mice would be gone by the amount of pellets we have used out there.

Do please get in touch with the Pest Control Dept of your local council - this must be really horrible for you. If your council is anything like mine they will probably charge you - but my lot were very thorough - making 3 visits for £50 - and they did a very good job. Good Luck
Pest control from my local council have been brilliant and free...problem has been solved and the officers will come back any time they are asked. They gave us advice on how to ensure that the rats don't come back...do ring them ASAP....
Oh and they are very discreet too!
