We all presumably know about the well-known Impressionist painters, but is there/are there any books on the lesser-known Impressionist painters? Ta Muchly.

You mean the 'Not made much of an Impressionists'...
I was about to link to the Kathleen Adler book, for a couple of pounds it's worth a look.

The definition of 'impressionism' is a loose one. Many would class my favourite painter, Joaquin Sorolla, as an 'impressionist' but others might wish to place him more accurately within the sub-category of 'luminist'.

There are certainly plenty of books about Sorolla (with some being extremely expensive) but most of them, unsurprisingly, seem to concentrate on his works, rather than on the man himself.
