Watching it now. Not a patch on the original, David Jason is one of my favourite actors but even he is not good in this.

Not as good as the original. Granville has had a complete personality transformation. It doesn't work for me.

I know its fashionable to knock this program, but I rather enjoy it and it always makes me laugh. Its no longer a one-person show....its a marvelous ensemble piece, giving work to lots of our favourite actors.

I don't criticise - or praise - simply because it's fashionable to do so. Young Granville was never going to become old Arkwright.

Not at all doug, many wonderful characters, but Arkwright was the kingpin.
