13 across: Comfort e.g. for each in part of Divine Office (7) I have S?XPERT, the only word I can find which fits is SEXPERT - for which I need help with parsing, or more likely assistance with my error/s.

Yes, the reference is to Alex Comfort, polymathic author of The Joy of Sex, although I don't think that he would have been happy about being described as a 'sexpert' - he most certainly didn't like the name 'Dr Sex'!

Don't know if it helps but one part of the Divine Office is Vespers.
