We used to enjoy holidays in Kalkan at least twice a year up until about four years ago.
My wife became anxious about the political situation and the influx of fleeing refugees.
I would like to try it again and wonder if any members have been in this region recently and can advise on the situation and how safe it is for holiday makers.

I've just been reading reviews of restaurants and hotels for 2017.
They make it sound as if all is normal and secure.
I think we may give Kalkan another visit this year.
You could try asking on TripAdvisor (which is the specialist web site for holidays and travel).

They do have forums for places all over the world.

Register for the site, then go to the Turkey forums, then choose the appropriate forum for the Kalkan area, then ask on there.

These are manned by experts on the area

Here is the Turkey section of the forums

I've looked through my Mail on Sunday but can't find the article.
Where is is featured?
Sorry ask, I got it from the online version in the travel section
you should be fine. The problems are in the far east, near Diyarbakir and Gaziantep, 700-odd miles away; and even they are getting some tourists back.
